Nicole Scherzinger:Εμφάνιση «φωτιά» στο American Idol !

H εκρηκτική Nicole Scherzinger βρέθηκε ως guest στο μουσικό show American Idol και έκανε μια εμφάνιση «φωτιά».

(vid)

Αρκετές εβδομάδες έκαναν υπομονή οι θαυμαστές της Beyonce, οι οποίοι περίμεναν πως και πως την οπτική έκδοση του νέου της τραγουδιού, «Who run the world», το οποίο έκανε την εμφάνιση του στο Ιnternet.

(vid+pics)

τέσσερις, και οι περίπου 20.000 φαν ούρλιαζαν στους ήχους του «Born This Way».

Brett Gleason by Thomas Evans

FH favorite, musician Brett Gleason who I have profiled in the past just shot with New York photographer Thomas Evans. Evans, who is dubbed the “Photographer Extraordinaire” due to his attention to detail is known for embracing the dark side, the extreme and the bizarre? His work with Brett is not extreme but it does masterfully encompass the power and drama of Brett's music especially his #1 hit 'I Am Not'.

Speaking of 'I Am Not', the song spent 20 weeks on Logo's the click list including hitting the #1 spot (thanks to all from FH who voted!). The song has now been nominated for the Top 10 of 2010 and you can vote up to this Friday at 5pm. It's the seventh video down on the right, 'I Am Not'. Voting is unlimited and you don't need to fill out the form! Head over to LOGO and help Brett make the list!!!!

Favorite Song Of The Day: Remember to forget by Shane Mack

Last week I saw the beautiful film 'Shelter' (more on that on another day). I fell in love with the music from the film especially the haunting closing theme Remember to forget by Shane Mack. Give it a listen!

It's.....

Samuel Boux

Earlier this summer Photographer Chris Teel introduced me to model Samuel Boux. At first I was enchanted by his look and work in front of the camera. Quickly it became his music that took me over. I have written before that Samuel's songs have become a part my days. After my work day is done and the dogs are walked I like a few moments listening to Samuel to ease me from my day to whatever is going on in my evening. Thanks to Samuel for sharing not just your photo's, not just your music, but your story.

Samuel has a new song out this week "La Rivière qui Chante". Take a listen at REVERBNATION HERE:

Samuel on his music:
'I used to listen to Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and The Beatles on vinyl all day because there was no tv or computer for a while at my first house before my 3 moves.
Now i like Gypsy Kings, City and Colour (Dallas Green), Don Ross(acoustic guitarist). I like classical and ambient/trance music as well.
My dad has been playing for 40 years now, I also get that a bit from him, but he plays a completely different style mostly blues/rock.
I cannot read music, therefore when I record a song I will never play it again and instead compose a new one each time. I finger pick, never used a pick.'

Samuel Boux by Matt Kulisch

Samuel Boux by Matt Kulisch (October 2010)

Matt's work with Samuel parallels the feelings I get when listening to Sam's music, beautiful, soothing, peaceful and ethereal.

'Matt is a lyrical artist who has also a passion for photography, he keeps his photos real and simple, one of my favorite so far.'
Samuel Boux

'Working with Sam is a gratifying experience for a photographer! He brings the precision & attention that comes with career-mindedness, and also an inadvertent lucidity that invites art. In the end, when everything comes together, working with Sam just doesn't feel like work: it's fun & interesting, opening & natural, good & good & good.'

'I am interested in the articulation--through image--of Desire and Distance. As Sontag says, "all activities that...can be conducted from a distance, and with some detachment." I think art, especially photography, necessarily requires that distance.'
Matt Kulisch

Favorite Face Of The Day: Siri Khalsa

When I first saw a shot of Siri Khalsa it was the portrait by Christian Del Rosario (see below). I could instantly see there was an artist though his beautiful brown eyes. 27 year old Siri is a singer/songwriter whose goal for his band is 'Touring the world, Spreading the Love, Inspiring people to be the best they can possibly Be'. The California native also has a passion for yoga and as well as practicing the discipline is also a yoga teacher. My interest in Siri certainly was cemented when listening to his music. Not only an accomplished acoustic guitar player but a beautiful voice as well. You can listen to a song below or check out a variety of his songs at his MYSPACE Page HERE: My favorite track is Hit My Soul.

You can also join Siri's Facebook Fan page to listen to more music and see more shots HERE:

Really Lady Gaga....Really

I have never been a huge fan of The Gaga. Now like the rest of the world,I see her talent, love some of her songs, and see in her a unique and brilliant artist. I also see in her something that does not quite ring true. I think Gaga is often 'making it up' as she goes along, claiming it was all a well laid out plan. I think watching her this week you could think either she is a true original with all her costume changes and statements or you could think she is desperately trying to grab and hold onto attention and headlines at any cost.

Her 'meat dress' this week was a great example. The dress could have been quite powerful if Gaga had the ability to clearly articulate what message she was trying put out there. It might also have been powerful if she had let the dress speak for itself. Instead she made various statements, some contrary, some making no sense about the meaning behind the outfit. From what holds us down to freedom to 'don't ask don't tell'.

As much as I admire her intent, she is truly at risk of becoming a joke within the industry. The woman is smart no doubt but I fear she is not quite as smart as most initially gave her credit for. Gaga does not seem able to simply attend an award show, instead she demands she be the center of attention. On stage or walking through an airport she refuses to simply be, but instead is always forcing us to look, to react. This is beginning to get tiring, not just for the audience but also for Gaga who has had health issues connected to exhaustion.

It was not left unnoticed by many how she interacts with other iconic women such as Cher who presented one of her awards this week(above). Cher, in her sixties, is still drawing attention decade after decade. Cher knows when to go out, do her work and grab attention. Cher also knows when to back off, lay low and disappear for awhile. By doing this, her audience remains interested. Gaga...take heed!

'Looking Into Your Eyes' by Samuel Boux

FH readers will know I have posted several times over the past several months about the beauty and the talent of musician Samuel Boux. Samuel's music has become a part of my evenings and helps me transition from the stress of my day into the relaxation of my evenings. Samuel's newest song 'Looking Into Your Eyes' is a great addition to his ever growing catalog of songs.
